Dressing Room Dance Celebrations by Shikhar Dhawan Team India

Captain Shikhar Dhawan led the dance celebrations after India beat South Africa by seven wickets in the third ODI in Delhi to win the series 2-1.

VVS Laxman, Team India’s head coach for the series, took to his Twitter to post a video of the 36-year-old choreographing the moves for his teammates to follow.

“@SDhawan25 Leading the team not only on the field but also off the field. Brilliant camaraderie among the boys, great to watch. Bolo Tara Ra ra,” he wrote as a caption.

“Saare oye saare….saare step karna abhi (All of you…take the steps now),” Dhawan says in the video before showing it to his teammates.

The 36-year-old, who has led India through several bilateral ODI conferences since last year, has been the life of a party on and off the cricket pitch. With the racquet, Dhawan had a forgettable streak as he only hit 25 runs in his three games against the Proteas.

In 2022, Dhawan has 567 carries in 16 games, the highest for India in the format. India will next play ODIs for a three-game series in November during the tour of New Zealand.
