Drishyam 2: Ajay Devgn shares Taboo’s first look from the film

Actor Ajay Devgn recently announced the sequel to his popular 2015 film Drishyam. The film and its sequel Drishyam 2 are the remakes of Malayalam films with the names with Mohanlal. On Wednesday, Ajay unveiled the first look of Tabu’s character, who played the role of Meera M Deshmukh, Goa’s top cop.

In the first installment, Tabu’s character, Meera, arrests Ajay and his family on suspicion that they were involved in their son’s death. Now, with the poster of the sequel, it seems that the suspense and thrill are taken up a notch. Despite the film not having an open ending, the sequel has been awaited by fans for all these years. While the first film was directed by Nishikant Kamat, who died in 2020, the sequel will be directed by Abhishek Pathak.

Ajay took to his social media to post the poster, which shows Taboo staring straight at the camera while standing in a police station, with two cops surrounding her. He captioned the post, “Kaha tha na woh itni jaldi humara peecha nahi chodne wale … woh fir aayenge. # Drishyam2 Fall will reopen on November 18, 2022.”

Ajay had started promoting Drishyam 2 in an interesting way. He had initially uploaded a picture of some props from the first film. The post featured a picture of the restaurant, bus, and movie bills that Ajay’s character uses as an alibi to escape the case.

With Drishyam 2, actors Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor and Tabu will reprise their roles. The film is slated to hit theaters on November 18.
