India captain Rohit Sharma made a young fan tag at WACA in Perth when he gave an 11-year-old a chance to bowl against him. During one of the Nets sessions in Perth, Rohit spotted the youngster’s bowling very well as part of the kid’s activity and realizing his potential he called up Drushil Chauhan to bowl him at the Nets. Team India analyst Hari Prasad Mohan narrated the entire incident as to why Rohit chose to face the youngster at the nets and it will definitely melt your heart.
“We arrived for a training session at WACA, the kids were finishing their morning session. As soon as we entered our dressing room we could see 100 weird kids playing cricket and having fun. There was one kid that caught everyone’s eye and Rohit was the first to identify the boy and after watching him the two or three balls he threw everyone was amazed at his smooth start and natural Talent,” Hari Mohan said in a video posted to BCCI’s official website.
“Rohit walked out of the locker room and asked the boy to bowl a few more balls. Rohit Sharma invited him to bowl; it was a magnificent sight. It was a memorable moment for the boy when he got to bowl against the Indian captain,” he added.

Speaking about the entire incident, the 11-year-old said: “Rohit Sharma saw me and he told me to bowl. I was very surprised, a day before my father told me that maybe I could bowl against Rohit. So I was very excited. My favorite ball is in Swinging Yorker.
While facing him in the nets, Rohit asked the youngster: “You stay in Perth, how are you going to play for India?”
To which the boy replies, “I’ll go to India, but I don’t know if I’ll be good enough.”
India will play their first match of the upcoming T20 World Cup against Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
