Amitabh Bachchan influences and inspires youngsters to take up acting is a fairly common story. However, young actor Ishaan Khattar has revealed how the megastar has helped bring him a better life. In an interview, he told how Big B made every effort to meet the authorities to get Ishaan admitted to a prestigious school.
Ishaan shared that Bachchan did him a “huge favor” even before he became an actor, saying that getting admitted to this particular school is very difficult. With his mom Neelima Azeem working with him at the time, the superstar decided to take matters into his own hands. “Mr Bachchan paid a personal visit to the authorities and the director,” he told Etimes.
Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother added that he came to school because of him. He added that he was unaware of this initially and only found out about it much later in life. Ishaan added: “But can you imagine that? That Amitab Bachchan did this so a child could get a good education.”
Ishaan Khattar, who describes himself as a “certified Big B fan,” went on to share that he loves his work in films like Anand, Deewar and more. “Bachchan Saab has been an icon longer than my entire life. Over the past two decades that I’ve watched his work, he’s constantly reinvented himself not just as a star but as an actor,” he shared.
The Phone Bhoot actor added that he has a lot of “respect and admiration” for the superstar and that there’s so much to learn just by watching him. Finally, he explained how he hopes to be “lucky” enough to spend time with him on a movie set: “I’ll learn so much more just working with him.”
Amitabh Bachchan turned 80 on Tuesday. When wife Jaya Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan joined him on the set of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, the episode helped fans get to know their superstar better. Big B’s family including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya Nanda and Nikhil Nanda sent him their wishes via videos.
