Mili Trailer: Janhvi Kapoor promises a 'terrifying story of survival'

The makers of Janhvi Kapoor’s Millireleased the trailer for the film today. The trailer, which is over two minutes long, promises a chilling story of survival. Based on true events, the film was originally shot in Malayalam. The Hindi version of the trailer starts with Janhvi Kapoor stuck in a freezer, a few frames later the trailer shows us the backstory of Mili played by Janhvi Kapoor. Soon the video jumps to the part where Janhvi Kapoor can be seen in the film hugging her father Manoj Pahwa while a dialogue of hers is playing in the background. It reads: “My name is Mili Naudyal, I live with my father.” The picture soon switches to Janhvi Kapoor, who catches her father secretly smoking a cigarette in the bathroom. Mili is seen forming a friendly bond with her father, who in the film is upset about her decision to go to Canada from him.

A few more frames later, Janhvi Kapoor is seen riding a bike with Sunny Kaushal. The trailer now moves to the part where Mili is seen working at a fast food joint where her life changes after she gets stuck in the refrigerator at work. The rest of the trailer shows us Janhvi’s struggle to survive while her boyfriend and father worry about her whereabouts. The trailer ends with a scene where Janhvi can be seen wrapped in plastic to survive the freezer temperature.

Milli is the official Hindi remake of 2019 Malayalam film Helen. Inspired by true events, the film is a survival thriller. Milli will be assisted by Janhvi Kapoor’s father, Boney Kapoor, and will be directed by filmmaker Mathukutty Xavier, who also directed the original film.

AR Rahman provided the music for the film while Javed Akhtar is the lyricist.

Milli is ready to hit the big screen on November 4th.
