Kangana Ranaut meets Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur: “His simplicity and love for Himachal are inspiring”

Kangana Ranaut, who is busy filming her long-awaited film Emergency, met with Prime Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jairam Thakur in Manali on Tuesday.

The Queen actor took to Instagram Stories and dropped a series of pictures from meeting Thakur. In the first picture, Kangana was in a discussion with Thakur and others at CM’s home. “Today the Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal met Jairamthakur ji at his home…his simplicity and love for Himachal are both inspiring,” she captioned the picture.

In the second picture, Kangana could be seen enjoying breakfast and having a funny chat at a round table with the Prime Minister of Himachal Pradesh and others.

“Mom specially prepared Himachali Bhalles and Babrus for our Prime Minister’s breakfast, which he ate and really loved,” reads the caption. The next photo shows actor Jairam Thakur, 35, and a member of the Himachal Legislative Assembly, Govind Singh Thakur.

She mentioned Govind in the caption. The actor wrote, “He was my neighbor but over the years had the opportunity to meet him today.”

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut is next to star in Sarvesh Mewara’s directorial work, Tejas. The film will feature Kangana in the role of an Air Force pilot. The official release date is still pending. Apart from that, she also has historical drama Emergency in which she will play the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Emergency is Kangana’s first solo directed film. Besides Kangana, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair and Shreyas Talpade in prominent roles. The film’s official release date is yet to be announced.
