July 4, 2022: Mizoram Social Defense and Rehabilitation Board (MSD&RB) Social Welfare and Tribal Affairs Department and SCERT jointly conducted the Training of Master Trainers for Drug Prevention in Schools from July 4, 2022 to July 6, SCERT Auditorium, Chaltlang was held. Pu Arun Mishra IAS, Secretary, Social Welfare Department inaugurated the training. SCERT officials, MSD&RB, Social Welfare & Tribal Affairs Department officials were also present at the opening ceremony.
DIET lecturers from districts of Mizoram will be selected for the master trainer training. International expert on Drugs Mr. Debashis Mukherjee will deliver the training on ‘Drug Module’ prepared by MSD&RB, Social Welfare & Tribal Affairs Department.
The drug module is tailored to the age of the child and is available in Primary School, Middle School, High & Higher Secondary School. The master trainers will continue to train teachers in their respective districts using the drug module. The teachers will conduct the training on drugs according to the age of the children.
