Really fun to beat with Virat Kohli: Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav scored an incredible 51 from just 25 balls as India beat the Netherlands by 56 runs to earn 2 of 2 wins in his World Cup campaign.

The daring hitter was named Player of the Match and spoke about his time at centre.

“I was just trying to express myself when I went to bat. The situation was very simple, I just had to pick up the pace back then. I took a ball today (to get started) but the message was loud and clear. We needed to get an over about 8-10 and get a total that our bowlers could easily defend. Very happy with how things are going,” he said.

Speaking of his partnership with Virat Kohli, he said: “I really enjoy batting with him. Thoughts are very clear when we both hit. If I hit my limits sooner, our partnership needs to expand and that’s what we’re doing.”

In the match, India scored 179-2 after batting first, then limited the Netherlands to 123-9. The Men in Blue put on a solid batting performance with Rohit Sharma (53), Virat Kohli (62 not out) and Yadav ( 51 not enough). ), all with sparkling fifties.
