Thank God Diwali Trailer: Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra’s film is full of quirks and some life lessons

Actor Ajay Devgn will soon be starring as the modern day Chitragupt in director Indra Kumar’s upcoming movie Thank God. A special trailer released on Thursday stars Ajay’s Chitragupt delivering some entertaining lines while the life of Sidharth Malhotra’s Aayan is at stake.

Ajay as the record holder of karma, Chritragupt will weigh in SidharthGood and bad deeds in this entertainer. Chitragupt also has some interesting punchlines. There’s even an indirect reference to Amitabh Bachchan and how he stole his game show’s format from the sky.

Ajay Devgn first appears in mythological attire and then switches to modern attire to better understand Sidharth Malhotra. As it stands, Sidharth wasn’t a very good person and so the pot of his bad deeds is almost full. The trailer ends on an important note, however, when Sidharth tells Ajay that he can’t laugh at the same joke repeatedly. Ajay then tells him, “If we don’t laugh at the same joke once, why do we worry about the same problems all the time?”

Check out the trailer of Thank God:

While there have been many films that explored the subject of evaluating human actions after death, thank goodness it seems to offer a modern take on the subject. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh as Sidharth Malhotra’s wife Ruhi. A highlight of the film is the Hindi version of the popular Sinhala song “Manike Mage Hithe”. The Hindi version titled “Manike” with Nora Fatehi.

Thank goodness everything is ready to hit theaters on October 25th.
