Vivek Agnihotri on Karan Johar’s departure from Twitter: “Leaves never win. Winners never give up

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri made fun of another filmmaker Karan Johar is leaving Twitter in a cryptic tweet. Without naming Johar, the director of Kashmir Files said that leaving Twitter but staying on social media was a “negative approach.”

Agnihotri wrote: “I think a sincere person looking for positive energies would leave social media completely. Just leaving Twitter because it doesn’t allow hypocrisy or fake, but staying on Instagram because it gets brands and allows fake itself is a negative and screwed up attitude to life.”

Prior to this tweet, he had responded to Karan’s announcement that he was leaving Twitter by writing, “Quiters never win.
Winners never give up.”

Johar announced Monday on the microblogging site that he was leaving Twitter to “make room for more positivity.”

The last tweet from the creator of Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani read: “Creating space for only more positive energies and this is the first step in that direction. Bye Twitter!” After that, he also deleted his account.

Karan had spoken candidly on the last episode of Koffee With Karan 7 about dealing with anxiety issues that have surfaced from constant hate on social media. He had said: “I’ve built up a kind of thick skin over the years. Honestly, it doesn’t bother me the way people think it should bother me when I read stuff that’s completely rotten, awful. They even abuse my children. Those are times I feel like… just let them out. I think you can say whatever you want about me, my sexuality, or all the conspiracy theories they have that are really mean and dirty. It really doesn’t bother me and it’s not like I haven’t been in therapy and haven’t had issues in the past.”

Kamaal R Khan (KRK) also reacted to Karan Johar leaving Twitter, saying that he did so because “people badly abused #KaranJohar with every tweet he tweeted. And finally, he deleted his Twitter handle. I don’t support these people who forced him to leave #Twitter!”

On the work front, Karan’s last season of Koffee With Karan has recently come to an end and he has announced a new season 8 soon. He also controls Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. He also has an action movie in the pipeline.
