Pakistan’s left-arm pacesetter Shaheen Shah Afridi and mid-order batsman Fakhar Zaman have finally reunited with the team’s T20 World Cup squad. Both out of action through injury, they have now arrived in Brisbane to prepare for the much-anticipated clash against India. India will meet Pakistan in their World Cup opening game on October 23 in Melbourne.
In a video posted by the official Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) social media handles, both Afridi and Zaman can be seen greeting their team members in Brisbane. Pakistan will play two warm-up games against England and Afghanistan before taking on India.

Afridi has been out since mid-July when he injured his knee in the first friendly against Sri Lanka in Galle, while Fakhar injured his knee in the Asian Cup final in Dubai. Both underwent rehab in London last month.
After initially being added to the reserve squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, Fakhar Zaman was included in Pakistan’s 15-man squad. The southpaw replaces leg spinner Usman Qadir, who has been placed on travel reserve.
