Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday couldn’t have ended better. The actor, who turned 80 on Tuesday, celebrated his special day with loved ones around him. Now we’ve gotten a glimpse of Big B’s birthday celebrations thanks to his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda. For the occasion, Abhishek Bachchan chose a bright yellow kurta with embroidered flowers. On Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday, Shweta Bachchan Nanda took a trip down memory lane and shared a priceless throwback picture from her childhood to wish her father. In the past, Big B looks adorable at a little Shweta. Shweta shared the photo and borrowed the lyrics from Jim Reeves’ But you love me daddy and wrote, “What the song is called…”but you love me daddy” and I love you (infinity and amulet symbols).”

Shweta Bachchan Nanda has posted more pictures to express how much she loves her “grand old man”. She wrote the lyrics of Pakistani singers Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lals song Tu Jhoom adding, “To my great old man, happy 80th birthday.”

To surprise Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek had planned a special episode Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, a “place he (Big B) loves the most”. Abhishek Bachchan posted a video detailing how he carried out the entire plan: “It took a lot of secrecy, a lot of planning, a lot of hard work and a lot of rehearsals to get it right. But then again, he deserves no less! It was very emotional to surprise dad and celebrate his 80th birthday at the place he loves most, his workplace.” The special also starred Jaya Bachchan.

Next up will be Amitabh Bachchan Uunchai. The film also stars Anupam Kher and Boman Irani in key roles.
